On November 6, 2020, 26 year-old Antonio Gonzalez was shot outside an Atlanta hookah lounge and later succumbed to his injuries later that same day.
He was born in Chicago
King von autopsy was raised on Chicago’s south side with his grandmother. His father spent much of his adult life behind bars and his mother battled addiction; their childhood was difficult but never let their circumstances define them; music became his vehicle for self-expression while stories served to motivate and uphold his family and others around him.
After moving to Atlanta, he quickly linked up with Lil Durk – one of the city’s rising stars – and recorded several songs together, such as “Losing a Son,” an emotive track that showcased his struggle with grief.
The next year, Levon James was released. This project included prominent guest features like YNW Melly and NLE Choppa. Finally, in October 2020 he released his debut album Welcome to O-Block which included guest spots by Lil Durk, Polo G, Moneybagg Yo and others; ultimately it peaked at 13 on Billboard 200 charts.

King Von, also known as Dayvon Bennett, was one of the most promising rappers to emerge from Chicago’s crime-ridden O Block neighborhood. Overcoming various unfavorable circumstances to become an accomplished musician, King Von was able to give back to the community that nurtured him and support its residents through charitable organizations such as O Block.
After becoming an esteemed figure in the drill, hip hop, and trap scenes, he relocated to Atlanta. In 2022 he released his posthumous album ‘What It Means to Be King’ – it became a massive success, topping Billboard charts at number 2.
King Von quickly established himself as a natural storyteller and talented artist on the cusp of superstardom during his brief career. Additionally, he used his fame to help out underprivileged communities, often returning to Parkway Gardens neighborhood with wads of cash for distribution among families and children in need. Additionally, he had two children from past relationships; Kema gave birth to him a son while Mici gave him two daughters.
He was incarcerated
King Von’s claims of sexuality has gone viral, prompting many to question if he really is gay. Critics suggest he used this strategy as an attempt to stay out of PC custody and protect his claims while behind bars; real Gs don’t fake their sexual orientation as a defense mechanism.
In 2020, King Von was involved in an altercation outside an Atlanta nightclub which resulted in him being shot and being transported to hospital where he later passed away from his injuries. 22-year-old Timothy Leeks has since been arrested in relation to this crime and remains behind bars as the primary suspect for King Von’s death.
“Crazy Story” rapper was an active member of Black Disciples street gang and had numerous run-ins with law. However, despite this troubled past he managed to establish himself within music industry by signing to Lil Durk’s Only the Family label as well as Empire Distribution; also releasing several mixtapes and albums through these labels.
He was killed

Rapper Mac Bennett was shot to death outside Monaco Hookah Lounge in downtown Atlanta after an altercation in November 2020, along with two others including a manager. A police spokesperson indicated that Mr. Bennett may have been shot during a preliminary shootout between two groups of males before police responded and attempted to stop it; his death caused shock among fans and celebrities alike.
